Surface Treatment of G35 Carbon Fiber Front Fenders
Finishes – Polished
The surface of the composite is coated with a layer of epoxy resin. Then the basic surface requirements are different. Use coarse sandpaper or polishing wheel, electric polishing machine to remove burrs of composite parts and polish the surface.
Finishes – Sanded Matte/Sand for Paint
After sanding and polishing the composite parts, depending on the requirements of your application, a coat of mortar (e.g. aluminum oxide) or a clear coat with a matte sand finish is required.
Finishes – Painted/Lacquered
Carbon fiber composite parts based on your special needs, such as for aesthetic, enhanced UV resistance, and friction resistance, after varying degrees of polishing, coated with 3-4 layers of varnish. This reduces the gaps and holes between the fibers and the substrate and finally covers a thin layer of varnish after the surface is smooth.
